Claude Certification Cost: All Four Exams, Plus the Discounts Nobody Mentions

$99 to $175 depending on the exam, with a 50% partner discount, free renewals, and a five-year window to actually sit it. Here is every number, including what a retake costs you.

The 50% discount applies automatically at checkout for partner firms at Select, Preferred, or Global Premier tier. Registered tier, which is the free entry level, pays list.

One thing to be clear about before you budget: you cannot buy any of these as an individual. Registration requires a partner company email. Full explanation of the eligibility rule here.

Your registration is good for five years

This is the most useful and least-known detail. Once you purchase an exam, Anthropic’s FAQ says the registration is valid for five years and you can schedule and take it any time in that window.

So buying and sitting are separate decisions. If a discount is running, buying now and studying later costs you nothing.

What a retake costs

Full price, every time. There is no retake discount.

There are also waiting periods, and they escalate:

14 days after your first failure
30 days after your second
90 days after your third
Maximum four attempts per exam per rolling twelve months

Two failed attempts at Architect: Professional is $350. That is more than the cost of doing the twelve hours of official prep first, which is free.

Renewal is free, if you do it on time

Claude certifications last twelve months. Renewal costs nothing and runs as an open-book, non-proctored assessment on the Partner Academy.

Let it lapse and you pay full price for the full proctored exam again. This is the most avoidable expense in the whole program. Set a reminder at month ten. More on renewal here.

What you do not pay for

Partner Network membership. Free.
The exam guides. Free PDFs with the full blueprint, domain weights and sample questions.
The prep courses. Anthropic’s Partner Academy prep paths are included for partners, and the public catalog at academy.claude.com is open to anyone.
Rescheduling, if you do it far enough ahead. Anthropic’s policy says 24 hours; Pearson VUE’s page says 48 hours for test center bookings. Plan for 48 and you are safe either way.

There are no vouchers yet

Anthropic describes a voucher storefront as in progress, where partners would buy in bulk with discounts applied and track usage centrally. It does not exist today.

If a site offers you a Claude certification voucher code or a free exam pass, it is not selling you anything Anthropic recognizes.

Price is not what makes the Claude exams unusual. The twelve-month validity and the closed registration are. Everything else on that list you can book yourself, this afternoon.
