ISACA AI Governance Cert Beta Closes to New Applicants

ISACA AI governance certification card: beta applications closed October 23, 2026

ISACA has closed applications for the beta of its new Advanced in AI Governance (AAIG) certification. On October 23, 2026, the AAIG page reads “The AAIG Beta Application Period Is Now Closed” and says the beta program is in progress. When we checked the same page on October 22, 2026, it still said the beta was “currently accepting applicants.” ISACA has not published a full launch date or standard pricing.

Who this affects

  • Governance professionals who planned to apply: the beta seat is no longer offered. The page used to list a $399 beta exam price that included the eBook review manual; that offer is gone.
  • People already in the beta: ISACA says the program is in progress. Follow the instructions ISACA sent with your acceptance.
  • Everyone else: wait for the full launch. ISACA lists eligibility as active CGEIT holders, or six years of enterprise governance experience including at least one in AI.

What to do now

  • Get launch news from ISACA: the AAIG page has an update form and says ISACA will share information “as we approach the full launch.”
  • Start with the three practice areas ISACA names: AI Enterprise Governance; Data and AI Architecture Principles; AI Enterprise Integration and Performance Monitoring. The official review course, question database and review manual are all marked “Coming soon!”
  • Need an AI governance credential sooner? IAPP’s AIGP and ISACA’s AAIA, AAIR and AAISM are open now.
