Free AI Prompt Improver and Enhancer: Better Prompts in Seconds

This free AI prompt improver, also called a prompt enhancer or prompt optimizer, rewrites a rough prompt into one that gets better answers from ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini, and lists what it changed and why. Paste what you would normally type; you get the improved prompt back, not the answer, so you can run it wherever you like.

Most disappointing AI answers come from a prompt that left out the obvious. You know your situation, so you skip it, and the model guesses. The improver puts back what is missing.

Paste a rough prompt, get a better one

Claude rewrites it with the parts most prompts are missing: context, one clear task, the format you want and the rules. You get the prompt back, not the answer, so you can run it wherever you like.

Improved prompt

Your improved prompt appears here.

Five improvements per person a day. We don't store what you type.

    What the prompt improver adds

    • Context: who you are, who it is for, and what is going on.
    • One clear task: a single ask, starting with a verb.
    • Format: the shape and length you want back.
    • Constraints: tone, what to avoid, what must be included.

It keeps your meaning and your voice, leaves [BRACKETS] where only you can fill in a detail, and tells the AI to ask you questions when something important is missing. It never invents facts, names or numbers.

    Before and after

Here is the kind of rewrite to expect. This example was written by us to show the pattern; the tool’s version will differ a little every time.

Rough prompt: write a post about our new opening hours

Improved prompt: You are writing for [BUSINESS NAME], a small local [TYPE OF BUSINESS]. Write a Facebook post announcing our new opening hours, [NEW HOURS], starting [DATE]. The readers are regular local customers. Keep it friendly rather than corporate, under 80 words, with one line on why the hours changed. End with a short invitation to visit. If anything important is missing, ask me before you write.

    How to use it

    1. Paste your prompt. A single sentence is enough; the limit is 2,000 characters.
    2. If you can, say what you are trying to achieve, for example “a Facebook post for local customers that sounds friendly”. It is the most useful thing you can add.
    3. Click Improve my prompt, read the list of changes, fill in any [BRACKETS], then copy the prompt into your AI tool.

Prompt improver, enhancer, optimizer or generator?

Mostly different names for the same idea. A prompt enhancer or optimizer starts from a prompt you already wrote and makes it clearer and more complete, which is what this tool does. A prompt generator writes one from a description of the task. If you would rather learn the pattern than use a tool, the complete guide to prompting walks through it, and Prompt Refinement 101 shows how to fix a prompt that is not working.

    Limits and privacy

    • Free: five improvements per person a day, no account. If the site’s free improvements for the day run out, try again tomorrow.
    • Length: prompts up to 2,000 characters, plus a short note on your goal.
    • Privacy: your prompt is sent to Claude, Anthropic’s AI model, to be rewritten. We do not log or store what you type.

    Frequently asked questions

    What is a prompt improver?

A prompt improver (also called a prompt enhancer or optimizer) is a tool that takes a prompt you have already written and rewrites it so an AI model understands it better, usually by adding context, one clear task, the format you want and any rules. This one also lists what it changed and why.

    Is this prompt improver free?

Yes, with no account. Each person gets five improvements a day, because every rewrite costs us a little to run.

    Does it answer my prompt?

No. You get the improved prompt back, so you can run it in whichever AI tool you use.

Does it work for ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini?

Yes. The improved prompt is plain text, so it works in any chat-based AI tool.

Do you keep what I type?

No. Your prompt is sent to the model to be rewritten and is not logged or stored on our side.

Why does my improved prompt have brackets in it?

Those are details only you know, like a date, a name or a number. Fill them in before you run the prompt; the tool never makes them up.
