Grok Partner Network: Who Can Join, the Tiers, and the FDE Accreditation

The Grok Partner Network, officially the SpaceX Super Intelligence Partner Network, launched on October 22, 2026. It’s SpaceXSI’s program for companies that deliver services or build software around Grok. There are two partner types, Transformation Partners and Marketplace Partners, and each has three tiers: Select, Premier and Elite. It’s built for companies, not for individuals who want a Grok certificate.

What launched, and who runs it

SpaceXSI’s announcement calls the network “our official program for companies building products, solutions, and services with Grok.” It shares three early numbers:

  • More than 130 companies took part in the early-access phase.
  • Engineers at more than 30 organizations have been trained through its Forward Deployed Engineer accreditation program.
  • Partners already work with customers “from startups to Fortune 20 companies.”

About the name: the program lives on x.ai, but the site now calls the company SpaceX Super Intelligence (SpaceXSI), and its footer reads “SpaceXAI LLC.” A February 2026 post there says SpaceX acquired xAI, and a September post says Cursor, the AI coding agent, became part of SpaceXSI on August 14. That’s why Cursor appears all over the partner pages.

Transformation Partners

The Transformation Partner Program is “for systems integrators, consultancies, and services firms that deliver enterprise professional services through forward deployed engineers.” Select is for new partners and those serving regional or niche markets. Premier is for partners “with larger trained teams and demonstrated customer success” at scale. Elite is for the most experienced partners, suited to global or highly complex projects.

Marketplace Partners

The Marketplace Partner Program is for independent software vendors that publish plugins on the SpaceXSI Marketplace. The tiers rise with the number of published plugin components and customer adoption. Vendors build a plugin, apply to publish it, and then “are invited to join the Partner Network for joint go-to-market support.” The plugin form offers three places to be listed: Grok (marked coming soon), Grok Bot and Cursor.

What partners get

SpaceXSI’s pages list these benefits:

  • Training and resources: Transformation Partners get “Access to training, resources, tools, and SpaceXSI teams” through the Partner Portal.
  • Co-selling and co-promotion: Transformation Partners can co-sell their services with SpaceXSI, and Marketplace Partners can co-promote joint solutions.
  • A reviewed catalog: SpaceXSI reviews each Marketplace listing.
  • A directory listing: customers can search the partner directory by region and country.
  • Validation: both programs promise “validation as an authorized partner.”

The partner agreement adds registration and referral fees “payable to Partner,” under Program Rules that sit on the Partner Portal and aren’t public. No public page lists a fee to join, but the agreement counts “payment obligations” among partner requirements, so ask before you sign.

The Forward Deployed Engineer accreditation

A forward deployed engineer works inside a customer’s business to build and ship AI systems. SpaceXSI says Transformation Partners “are building capacity through our Forward Deployed Engineer accreditation program,” and that engineers at more than 30 organizations have been trained. The agreement requires partners to “maintain any competency, training, accreditations, staffing, and business plan requirements specified by Anysphere.”

What isn’t published: who can enroll, the curriculum, whether there’s an exam, how long it takes, what it costs, and whether individual engineers get a credential of their own. The training sits behind the Partner Portal login. Our forward deployed engineer guide covers the job itself.

Named launch partners

The Transformation page quotes services firms including AHEAD, Booz Allen, Synechron, ZS Associates, Exadel and Galatiq, which calls itself “a Grok-powered Forward Deployed Engineering company.” The Marketplace page quotes software vendors including MongoDB, Webflow, CodeRabbit, Mixpanel, Sinch and Atlan. The announcement also quotes Bain & Company, Databricks, NVIDIA and Snowflake.

How to apply

Transformation Partners apply through a form on x.ai. It asks for:

  • Your name, work email, job title and the company’s legal name.
  • The company website, any other domains, the corporate address, a team ID and a business tax ID.
  • Two government questions: whether any owner, officer or director works for a government entity or did in the past three years, and whether the company sells to government entities.
  • Whether anyone at the company has a relationship with Anysphere, and whether the company has faced any anti-corruption violation, investigation or enforcement action.
  • The regions and countries where you intend to work with clients.

Read the fine print first. Submitting the form means you agree, on behalf of your organization, “to be bound by the SpaceX Super Intelligence Partner Network Agreement.” That agreement is published on cursor.com and names Anysphere, Inc. as the other party. Either side can end it with 30 days’ written notice.

Software vendors instead submit a plugin with an MCP server URL or public GitHub repository, and agree to the Publisher Terms.

Who should apply, and who shouldn’t

Apply if you run a consultancy, systems integrator or services firm with engineers who will deliver Grok projects inside client businesses. Software vendors should apply if they have, or can build, a plugin for Grok Bot or Cursor.

Don’t apply as an individual looking for a credential. The form wants a company legal name, a tax ID and a corporate address, and it binds an organization to a contract. Being a partner doesn’t make you a reseller either: the agreement says partners don’t act as Anysphere’s “agent, distributor, franchisee, reseller, or representative of any kind.” If you want the skills, the realistic path is a job at a partner firm.

Anthropic runs a similar model: its Claude certifications are “built exclusively for Anthropic Partners,” as our Claude certification guide explains.

What it means for businesses choosing Grok

For buyers, the network offers a directory of what SpaceXSI calls “validated SpaceXSI partners” and a catalog of reviewed plugins.

  • Ask about tier and training. Ask a partner for its tier and how many of its engineers have the FDE accreditation. SpaceXSI describes the tiers in words but doesn’t publish the criteria.
  • You may not need a partner to start. SpaceXSI’s partner page lists Grok on Amazon Bedrock, Microsoft Foundry and Databricks, among other platforms.
  • Compare first. See Claude vs Grok, Grok vs ChatGPT and our AI chatbot pricing page.

Next step: services firms should read the agreement, then apply at x.ai/partners. Buyers can start with the directory and filter by country.

Facts come from SpaceXSI’s pages and the partner agreement on cursor.com, checked October 23, 2026. Details can change.

Frequently asked questions

Can I join the Grok Partner Network as an individual?

Not in any practical sense. The Transformation Partner application asks for a company legal name, a corporate address and a business tax ID, and submitting it binds an organization to the SpaceX Super Intelligence Partner Network Agreement. If you want to work on Grok projects, look at jobs at partner firms instead.

Is there a Grok certification I can take?

SpaceXSI hasn't published one for individuals. Its Forward Deployed Engineer accreditation trains engineers at Transformation Partner firms, and SpaceXSI says engineers at more than 30 organizations have been trained. It doesn't publish who can enroll, the curriculum, any exam or the cost.

Does it cost anything to become a Grok partner?

No public page lists a fee to join. The partner agreement mentions registration and referral fees paid to partners, and it lists "payment obligations" among partner requirements, with the details in Program Rules on the Partner Portal. Ask SpaceXSI before you sign.

Is this the same as the xAI partner program?

It runs on the x.ai website, but the site now calls the company SpaceX Super Intelligence, or SpaceXSI. An x.ai post from February 2, 2026 says SpaceX acquired xAI. The partner agreement itself is with Anysphere, Inc. and is published on cursor.com.

Which companies are Grok launch partners?

SpaceXSI's pages quote services firms such as AHEAD, Booz Allen, Synechron and Galatiq, and software vendors such as MongoDB, Webflow and CodeRabbit. The launch announcement also quotes Bain & Company, Databricks, NVIDIA and Snowflake. More than 130 companies took part in early access.
