HOW TO // AI is a Texas corporation. We want you to be happy with what you buy from us. If a paid product isn’t what you expected, you can request a refund within 14 days of purchase under the terms below.
What’s covered
- The book — Amplified (digital, paperback, audiobook, and signed editions).
- Courses sold through howtoai.com.
Free content — newsletter subscriptions, free downloadable kits, articles — has nothing to refund and isn’t covered.
14-day window
You have 14 days from the date of purchase to request a refund. After 14 days we can’t process refunds, even for digital products that haven’t been opened or fully consumed.
How to request a refund
- Email hi@howtoai.com from the address you used at checkout.
- Include the order number (you’ll find it in your purchase confirmation email).
- Briefly tell us why — feedback helps us improve the products. You don’t have to write an essay.
We’ll confirm receipt within two business days and process the refund through Stripe. The refund typically appears on your original payment method within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.
Paperback and signed editions
For physical editions of Amplified, the 14-day window starts from the delivery date. The book must be in resellable condition (signed editions excepted — those are non-returnable once dispatched, given their personalized nature). Return shipping is the buyer’s responsibility unless the book arrived damaged or incorrect, in which case we cover it.
Exceptions
- Refunds may be denied if there’s evidence of abuse — for example, repeated buy-and-refund cycles, or after substantial completion of a course.
- Bundles purchased at a discount are refunded as a single unit; you can’t refund individual items from a bundle.
- Promotional or free items received with a purchase do not need to be returned, but their value will not be added to your refund.
Chargebacks
Please email us before filing a chargeback with your bank. We’re a small team and almost any honest issue can be resolved faster by email than through a payment-network dispute.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the most recent version. The policy in effect at the time of your purchase is the one that applies to that purchase.
